Why do so many people think that God is related to science?

I can understand religion and stories, but God? It just does not connect with me

Any good science seeks to unravel all the mysteries of the universe.

@Reject God is not a mystery of the universe, though 😂

@SW-User What makes you say that?
SW-User
@Reject how would God relate to the Universe?
Reject · 26-30, M
@SW-User Well, maybe because in some interpretations of religion, God made the universe. He's the creator.

@Reject exactly. In what way can our study of the structures created by God ever affect or prove or disprove the Creator?
If he exists, whether I believe or disbelieve, the idea is that the Creator is out of this world, literally. No amount of studying the world will contact the Creator. However, we can observe and maybe come to the conclusions that there is a Creator just by observing the systems put into place or maybe not. The point is, God is not a part of this univserse we can study. He is clearly outside of it. Science is strictly within it

@SW-User In what way you ask? Well isn't that the first point I made in my intital comment? Science is about finding the answers where we have none.

You're trying to tell me that no amount of study will ever change our current perception of God and you sound insane to me. It's as if you know the future. I tell you if every scientist was as certain as you are about the current state of the world and it's inability to change then we would never have made any progress in understanding it.

@Reject No, I am saying that no amount of study can come in contact with God XD
God is not part of the physical and natural world we live in and study is all I am saying

We can change and manipulate LOTS of stuff *__*
Just not God Himself if God exists, ya feel me? So how can we scientifically prove God?

@SW-User That doesn't change anything. The point still stands, it's crazy to think no amount of study regarding God will yield any results ever. God is not part of the physical and natural world we currently know. That could change with time unless you're going to say you're some prophet who can predict what will happen. You're too busy being stuck in what we know and not in what we could know which is a huge part of science. At least you know how to ask the right questions, even if you dismiss them without giving them a chance. What was that Albert Einstein quote?

[image deleted]Maybe that's not word for word, but hopefully you can see his point.

@Reject that is a great point
