I Dont Like To Be Around People With Nasty Spirits

SW Member Bashers!

I'm pretty laid back and easy going and will give anyone my time if they need it.
BUT..
I'm making it known that I take friendships here I make seriously, I will support and back anyone up that needs it.
I was missing yesterday so didn't get on much but was appalled at a post that was encouraging other members to name who they disliked the most here, and even more appalled that SW allowed it to go on for so long.
You have committed members here and to let these little two bit users that don't hang around and are here just to stir trouble slag off decent members and encourage others to do it is totally uncalled for!
Anyone that I have friended should know if I see you joining in which is your right as an individual, I will be removing you from my list as I do not care to associate with that kind of two faced nastiness..
If you have strong feelings against someone, have the balls to pm them and tell THEM one on one, not go through others and get little posse together to do it..

I agree with you 100%. I’ve had three people already post about me inviting others to bash me on their posts. I had to contact admin all those times because the posts stayed up. I got bullied by a user because she thought I was mean to her friend…that was 5 years ago. I don’t even remember. I still get reminded of that. Ganging up on any user is wrong no matter what. Either contact them or admin but don’t post rubbish about them and bully. This isn’t middle school.

Agreed. I made a comment on said post "complaining" that I never get named in any lists.
That being said, I don't give a hoot. But, unfortunately there are some people that would be and were hurt by such a post. I had unfollowed before any bashing began, only looking in my own comment area, but I did see some of the aftermath.

And, the type of people who enjoy those types of posts get a kick out of going after the people who they know will be hurt by it. Is it just low self-esteem/worth or is there more to it? I have never found any joy in tearing another human being down. So I just cannot wrap my head around why it is so popular.

Even with the "positive" "who's your favorite" "who's the funniest" posts. They are about exclusion. Let's see who is better than who. Well, I didn't play those games in middle school or high school and I damn sure am not going to start now that I am nearly 40.

I did watch the post for a short while to observe, because that is what I do on the real world and online. I observe how humans behave and adjust my actions in their presence accordingly.

And if it was them instead of others would it still be as funny?

The naming was unnecessary but bit of venting wouldn't hurt. I feel my own answer wasn't unfair in any way. He already knows about my feelings so it's no two faced nastiness.

I think few were blocked and don't have the chance to talk about it one on one.

I had people making posts about me four times, three with my username included and bunch joining in. It did upset me for few days but I figured people aren't perfect and I should not expect otherwise. Everyone makes mistakes.

You are, of course, absolutely correct and the fashion which seems to dictate, to some, the idea that to have others openly flamed is considered a fair game. Yes, a game they make it, but fair? Nah, it's hardly fair and what happened to the motto of "I take people as I find them"? So what we have is the start of a vendetta; often by some who have external agenda's which should be kept out of here.

It's interesting.....I've seen a few of these. The scary part - is you see them 'roller coaster'. they start, and people are just general.....but then, one name gets dropped - and within minutes - it' just takes off !

@BoobooSnafu I find that the women are the worse on this. It seems women cannot support one another. Or they are so bloody needy for a man's attention, they will attack like hungry wolves any female here. Especially true with those over 35! I do not tolerate bullies nor gang attacks. It is despicable. And I will jump in and battle anyone who is guilty of this crap. No friend of mine would ever participate in gang attacks. I have the best crew on here. The very best.

@PoetryNEmotion Heheh.....You know - it's interesting how, for some, their sexuality dictates who, they respond to, and how they respond. You can see it in some posts - where a poster will give positive replies, but only to one gender, within a particular age range.
But I've got to agree, in general, about the 'women' comment - I think we can be so competitive against our own sex. And I have NEVER understood this.

@Primnproper You have a good point. We all can rile up a bit when we feel attacked, but to be cruel when unprovoked........perhaps there's a gossip monger in all of us - or perhaps it's a way to feel validated.
I know that when my bad thoughts are mirrored by someone else......it feels....alleviating, and a little bonding too. So mayhap it's just a weakness we give into sometimes.
Still - it's sad to see when it happens.😞

there ya are, talking to your friend and think about logging in to chit chat hopefully and this is fun then you see a post with your name emblazoned upon it with your friend making jokes that you're a problematic individual with serious deformities.

i think i was name dropped once recently, someone got a bee in their ass when i asked them why they were being a hypocrite about something similar.... then out of the blue another stepped up to defend me, quite a strange experience.

i felt bad, weird and joyous all at the same time like "hey, someone risks banishment and reputation degradation for me? wow. "

I have done this before out of humor. I am for fairness here more so than anybody. But I strongly believe that everybody is free to post what they desire even if it's offensive. We all have that right and I'm the most positive person on SW. Thanks for allowing me to respond. 🙂
