What a Pompous Act.

The article of Mr Trumps impeachment is walked to the Senate in a ceremonial procession by Nine Pretentious Democrats.
Could have been emailed, but no....put on an act for the Pomp and Ceremony.
It will fail anyway.
Impeachment is for Sitting Presidents only and means if found guilty, that person Will Be Removed From Office.
Last time I looked, Mr Trump is not President

Buncha self righteous ass wipes who think their sh!t don't stink
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AlienZipper damn right they are. There is one from this state who would get up and make a speech and humble-brag that he was a “public servant”....yeah right, get picked up by a limo & taken to the Capitol building every day Congress is in session and have all their perks & benefits, and no telling what else that isn’t even legal. Slimy bunch of bull-shitters calling themselves “public servants”.

They are pompous ass twits that need to be put in their place and hopefully one day soon. Enough of their never-ending bullshit which has cost American taxpayers plenty. Their entire agenda the last 4 years was “Get Trump” and they are useless in getting anything positive passed for this nation.

@Waymore they are scared of him and they should be. They all should have kept their noses clean is all I can say about them. I have no pity for the fools.

They are trying to ban him from running again .
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@TexChik Please, as if you watch CNN. You probably heard about "antifa on CNN" from some right wing source.

I don't watch CNN myself, so I missed this important tidbit. Maybe you can tell me the "antifa" person's name, or whose show they were on, or what day it was, so I can look it up? I mean, if you saw it yourself, that should be easy.

Even assuming for the sake of argument that a few "antifa" members were on CNN, boasting about breaking in to the Capitol (and if they haven't been arrested yet, you have a duty to report them), that doesn't account for the hundreds of Trump supporters who also rioted. If you had a shred of integrity, you'd at least admit that not everyone who rioted was "antifa."
TexChik · F
@Lila15 I saw the clip
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@TexChik OK, great. Whose show was it on, who were the "antifa" people, when was this, anything else to help me locate it? Also, considering that "antifa" doesn't really exist as an organized group, how do we know these weren't just random thugs?

And again, what about all the Trump supporters being arrested for rioting?
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
I watched it, they touted the constitution and walked all over it at the same time.
IDIOTS!
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Lila15 well I guess if it does go through at least they'll have something to do, they damn sure don't do anything for the people.
And it will keep the China deal quiet.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@Virgo79 What China deal? You mean the patents China granted to Ivanka Trump, or the millions they paid to her father?
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@Lila15 I'm meaning the money they paid Joey and family , and no one really knows what for yet.
Then there's the job🤔
I'm sure they were buying something lol.
It cannot be e-mailed. It is an official House document with original signatures and a seal.

Trump would not be the first federal official to be impeached and tried in the Senate after leaving office. President Ulysses Grant's War Secretary, William Belknap, was impeached and tried in 1876 after resigning.

I love the ceremony just like the ceremony of validating the election that trump tried to break up. It was a pure blessing that trump is way too stupid to hold the office a second time.
Pfuzylogic · M
@KristinaM
He does what he does best and that is acting like a confidence scammer. His life will be full of adventure this coming year and I am sure it will be a continual doubling down of the stakes. Our country has not been in worse shape economically and Bush 43 was some rough competition for economically putting us behind. Joe Biden is here and he will do what he did with Bush 43. Clean the mess up!
KristinaM · 36-40, F
@Pfuzylogic I hope I can restrict myself from reading too much about his coming adventures in the news. I need less negativity
Pfuzylogic · M
@KristinaM
Some good chances he is going to slide to page two and MIA on all of the social media.
Looks like this will require a withdrawal! 🥳
Persephonee · 22-25, F
Whatever the merits of the stupid show-trial of nonsense, it is clearly not unconstitutional to hold the trial in the first place.

It has been done before. William Belknap was impeached but then resigned before his Senate trial. The Senate set a precedent for doing continuing with the trial anyway - although in Belknap's case he was acquitted. Trump probably will be too.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
Another penalty in the Constitution is being barred from holding office in the future. That’s what the trial will determine.
@Pfuzylogic I don’t recall addressing you. Blocked
Pfuzylogic · M
@stratosranger
You were pretty lame.
I hope you gain a brain.
Lila15 · 22-25, F
@Stereoguy The Republicans don’t want a trial, but they’re not in charge. A trial will allow the Democrats to call witnesses, and Trump won’t be able to weasel out of testifying like he did last time.
MrAboo · 36-40, M
They’re grasping at straws to find a way from keeping Trump from being re-elected and to prevent any other person from attempting to do the same thing Trump did.
Virgo79 · 61-69, M
@MrAboo they don't want anyone in messing up their foreign income, Trump hurt them bad
JeanAnna · F
Oh, so it was OK when the Republicans walked it over when Clinton was impeached? Hmmmm....I would say your comments are rather hypocritical.

@Lila15 If they are not held accountable, the whole thing was just a rehearsal!!

Isn't it to ensure he can't run again in four years? I thought that was the intent.
curiosi · 61-69, F
The media aired it claiming "special report"
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@curiosi I was cooking dinner and then washing dishes so I didn’t see it. Damned bunch of fools.
Who are you to complain about the U.S. getting back on its feet. Australia might be an ally but you definitely didn’t vote!

@Gusman
Why post about another country’s politics?
I served 22 years in the U.S. Navy to protect our allies and maintain our country’s sovereignty!

We all know it's a joke. Just like the Russian Delussion charade.
It can also be used after a president is out to bar him from ever holding public office again. And it has already been said it is constitutional to have a conviction after a term is over.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
I wonder if witnesses & evidence will be allowed this time? 🤔
It was a volcano that erupted in Italy about a million years ago.
