Remain independent as long as possible...I loathe the thought of being a burden to my wife or anyone else for that matter. I'd just rather do things myself and only asking for assistance when absolutely necessary.

Independent, I have a relative who refuses to do anything for themselves. It's a burden and this person is extremely unhappy as others can only do so much.

@AnonymouslyYours My relative has just died. Her granddaughter is to be married tomorrow. Can't help but think she willed it to happen this way. Seems sad but as much as she demanded attention it's not a stretch.

Hand and foot. I want people to cook for me, do all my housework, give me massages, and I want a paid companion as well, to accompany me when I travel.

Of course, none of this will happen unless and until I win the publishers clearing house....😂.

Having someone wipe my behind & help me wash my self seems very uncomfortable. I really hope I’m as independent for as long as possible

Yeah...I don't know what would make someone behave this way...I've long suspected it stems from unresolved childhood trauma and an unwillingness to change in adulthood.@Mrsbetweenfatandfit
