Independent, I have a relative who refuses to do anything for themselves. It's a burden and this person is extremely unhappy as others can only do so much.
Sounds exactly like who I'm trying not to be.@curiosi

@AnonymouslyYours It's horrible to watch, I am a distant relative so it doesn't affect me. I watch what is happening to the family and it's awful. Nothing is ever enough!
Going through this right now, but it's for the last time. If I ever decide to have children, I'd rather be gone than to repeatedly interrupt their lives in the name of extending my fading existence.@curiosi

@AnonymouslyYours I agree and remind myself that we all leave behind a legacy. I want mine to be of strength and courage not acting like a demanding toddler.
Amen.@curiosi

@AnonymouslyYours My relative has just died. Her granddaughter is to be married tomorrow. Can't help but think she willed it to happen this way. Seems sad but as much as she demanded attention it's not a stretch.
I extend my sincerest condolences. I'm sorry she caused you guys so much pain rather than leaving behind sincere well wishes for the future of her grandchild and her new union. I hope she enjoys her wedding in spite of the timing of this loss. Brighter days lie ahead for sure. @curiosi
