Would you be happy to receive a toothbrush for your birthday?

I'm considering purchasing an electric toothbrush for a loved one as a present. It is high end (if that should even matter) and I know it would be a useful gift. Thoughts?

A waterpik sonic toothbrush is a good gift. It's practical, and will do the loved one quite a bit of good.

That being said, I think everyone should try to give some thought to what the person might actually want. I still remember when the ex gave his mother a pair of tires for her birthday because she needed them, and she made it quite plain she was disappointed in his gift.

If the one receiving the gift is quite mature, and is an adult through and through, the toothbrush will be quite appropriate. If the one receiving the gift is child-like, skip the practicality and focus on appeasing the child.

If I gave my SO a toothbrush, I'd probably be toast, pretty soon and for quite a long time. #justsaying

do they seem the sort of person that would enjoy and electric toothbrush? i tend to see birthday gifts as something fun to give and a toothbrush isnt very fun tho if the person would really like an electric toothbrush then its perfect

I would, but I don't know if most people would like to get a toothbrush for their birthday. It kind of depends on the person,I think.🤔

Kind of like buying a wife a vacuum cleaner for Christmas....don't ask....NOT a good idea.
This was exactly my initial thought. It isn't a fun, "celebratory" gift but it's so useful and will literally keep on giving, unlike cash or a gift card which are gone once spent.@bowman81

Erm personally No, electric toothbrush is something I'd get myself

That’s all individual...but I wouldn’t want one..

I got one for my birthday once. My parents knew I wanted one and it was a nice surprise because I had forgotten about it. I think it's a good gift, especially since electric ones can be expensive.

Depends on whether this person prefers practical gifts. Personally, I don't want practical gifts ("Mom, socks and underwear are not gifts."), but YMMV.

Once it cost over $20 it's a gift
