Religion is a tough habit to get rid of, even if you want to so bad. Why is that ?

Conditioning. Years of programming that’s hard to change, but can be done regardless

It's soaked in guilt and shame and false promises.

It’s hard to get rid of a habit. Having been brainwashed since the day you’re born
Pureblossom · 22-25, F
@SW-User exactly 👌👌
Fear of the unknown and being taught that something may Infact be.

It is usually drilled into people from the time they are born and then we live in a society that claims to be a "Christian" society (even to the point that this country was founded on it which isn't true). Then as someone else stated it's filled with guilt and shame.

I find it ironic and amusing that those without any religious beliefs are often so concerned about the choices, morality/ethics, etc. of others...
Pureblossom · 22-25, F
@wildbill83 okay I hear you, but what has that got to do with my question ?
Dan193 · 31-35, M
because it's part of who you are
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Pureblossom I think, the mistake so many people do, is associating their belief to the shitty parenting they had go through.
Your belief could be the thing that keeps u hopeful, gives u strength and comfort, if u choose so. But... if you really want to denounce it, from what I've seen others do, is do questionable things from which there is no turning back. Then u can just continue on that path and joke about going to hell.
Pureblossom · 22-25, F
@Dan193 good advice, good advice indeed.👌😂

- I wonder what could possibly be done to a point of no return.🤔
Dan193 · 31-35, M
@Pureblossom Well I can't help you with that, because I hope you will reconsider. One day.

If you were brought up on one, it can be hard leaving behind everything you were taught to believe in.
DesiDudeJ04 · 26-30, M
you can get rid of it....Feel the presence of God in you.
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@DesiDudeJ04 That's what priests have been saying!!!!!
