Americans, how many different British accents are there?

Hint: its more than two
Brits, how many American accents are there?
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@Callmewhatyouwill that was going to be my next question
@Jm31xxx hint: we don't even know. Too many to count
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@Callmewhatyouwill I counted. Want me to list em?
SW-User
Too many and I can't tell the difference between them anyway
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SW-User Each region of the country has its own accent.
DunningKruger · 61-69, M

Where I'm from the accent varied in a 20 mile radius.
HerKing · 61-69, M
@monte3 Stay out of it as much as possible because it goes along with the temps up in the high 90s-100s.
monte3 · 70-79, M
We went to Scotland in March and my wife has still not recovered.
HerKing · 61-69, M
@monte3 LOL...They have a saying in Scotland "If you don't like the weather, wait an hour"
Considering that "Europe" consists of just London, there should only be the one!!!
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@HootyTheNightOwl I'm far from being an expert but I'm failt sure Europe is a rich tapistory of culture and history and stuff
Harriet03 · 41-45, F
@HootyTheNightOwl I'm a Cockney (Londoner).
The "Becksta" is absolutely right. Chocolate box villages. So beautiful it'll take your breath away!
@Jm31xxx Exactly, it is... so why do so many American visitors choose to spend the entire duration of their visit in London alone???
HerKing · 61-69, M
It's slightly irritating when the accent I have is described by Americans as "British'...I have to remind then that there is no such accent and what they speak is whatever it is.
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@HerKing You domt'have too' but not
More power to you

Carver · 31-35, F
There's a bunch. Many in England alone! Don't ask me what ones but I know there's a plethora.
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@Carver plethora. There's a word I need to use everyday but don't feel comfterble doing so
At least 7 but I am sure Henry Higgins could discertain hundreds more even within those 7.
monte3 · 70-79, M
Too many to count. Within London there were more than one
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@monte3 Well yeah. There's posh London and then there's "other" London. And then that turns out to be some North of the river, south of the river thing that nomcoxkneys just don't get
exexec · 61-69, C
I don't even know how many American accents there are.
Jm31xxx · 41-45, M
@exexec At least 6, maybe more I dunno
Graciebaby · F

Graciebaby · F

Abbenthewarwolf · 18-21, M
