I Have A Concern

Something is living under and in the walls of my house. Its bigger than a mouse by far. I guess it could be a large rat but where would a rat come from? They are developing a large plot of land nearby. It was a wetland area with dry areas in it too. Maybe something decided to move in after losing its home but what is it and how to get rid of it?

@Lostpoet i hope not
Lostpoet · M
Stick a hose down it and spray it with water.
morrgin · F
@anythingoes477 whatever i use i dont want it to hurt my cats.
@morrgin If what is in your flooring and walls has rabies..or carries Parvo...or distemper as 99.9% of all wild animals do----..they'll hurt your cats---to death.
@morrgin Pen up your cats---kill the animal and start over.

It was a HUGE RAT!
@morrgin Oh, my, so sorry ! Was it caught, then ?
morrgin · F
@bijouxbroussard yes it was caught in a big trap we put underneath the house.
@morrgin Michael Cohen was under your house?? lol lol lol lol lol

Construction sites often dislodge whatever residents live there and they look for new homes. A large mouse or rat is the most likely.

@lasergraph it was a rat

@Greenbare Snakes would be beyond creepy. No money for exterminator. I am the exterminator. I prefer to relocate the creature to an area that would be appropriate for it to survive naturally and not become a problem for others. I'm really wondering where it's getting its food source. If not under the house or in the walls (I can't imagine any type of food in there unless it is a snake and it eats mice that might be living in their too!) then it must be leaving going outside to eat and must have an exit and entry somewhere.

Any luck finding your critter so far?
GerOttman · 61-69, M
