I'm retired, but my last decades of working included no sick pay. Everyone in the USA depends on someone like that. Every school, every store, shop and factory uses non employees to do the toilets and more! You hate us, you're better and you don't know we even exist and you already forgot me.

There has never been any mandatory paid sick leave federally. Because we are a capitalist democracy, it would be "unfair to industry and corporations" to require sick pay.

However, if a company wants to be competitive in the job market, they will offer it as a benefit.

Federal government can't take away something that never existed.

@FoxyQueen I do sympathize with your initial sentiment but overall message not really. I do respect you feel that way though. I mean there's nothing that can be done on my part but to peacefully protest and keep doing things where I can peacefully but the idea of not going to war in by itself I feel is not logical as the fascists motivations are not logical so there's no way to really reason with the unreasonable.

Ice broke into a family's house and killed their dog who was locked up in the bathroom. The family told ice they were legal and the dog was locked up but had to put it in its kennel and if ice would allow them to do that before they look around.

Ice entered anyways, opens the door to the bathroom where the dog is and murders it.

You don't need to understand the motives of fascists, it's similar to trying to reason with nazis when they were doing experiments on jewish babies.

Just like when they peacefully marched for better conditions and no police immunity after police been killing black people for just standing in their yards or taking out the trash.

Then the riots happened and people asked, "how can they be so violent?"

Without understanding that before that, protesters were peacefully marching and still do. But nothing gets done. Why? Because while people have their own motivations in life, they may not care and only want what they want so can't be reasoned with. Sometimes understanding doesn't really get things done much in the way that if you tell McDonald's that you know some great profound thing they are not going to feed you just because you know that.

So you even if you understand one's motivations, I feel like their motivations don't really matter if there's no reason to be found. Once a person is delusional, there's nothing that can be done unless you want to force them into getting mental help for their psychosis and delusions.
