Unemployed Rate

My goodness I am looking at the statistics of the rate of those who are unemployed. I saw the rate in the millions and I was like jeez.

I have seen a lot of posts online where people saying they are unemployed since the fall season of 2023 and have been applying to jobs still in 2024 this month. I am just grateful that I have something under my belt that gives me some income. Like the opportunity is slow at times but it is better than nothing.

I agree with you, it may not be your dream job, but at least it is a job and something to be grateful for.

@OpalFlower You are quite welcome for the concern.

I spent 27 years in the Army and seen terrible things where multiple people and youths were killed, and I do not want to see any articles about it. Not being rude, I have seen enough and know what goes on in the world.

Sorry so the late reply I just had my internet service restored from hurricane Helene.

@WillaKissing I am glad that you are still here with us and thank you for your service.I apologize since I didn't know. As soon as I added the period to the first sentence I just started crying like I usually do when it comes to topics like this. Had to shift my mind to something else that was uplifting. I am glad that you are safe from Hurricane Helene love.

The labor department just admitted to a mistake whereas the administration has been bragging about it how unemployment is down 2.4%, but they said they made a mistake and unemployment is actually up 4.8% news came out two days ago.

I've been very lucky, I've never had trouble finding a job. Even through the pandemic, I was able to work. I have a good job that I enjoy and I am blessed 🙂

Statistics don’t show the full picture. I’m unemployed because I don’t want or need a job right now.

@SophSmiles Right but I was just stating in general that a large amount were unemployed. As far as the reason why varies.
People will return to basics after few more years like farming and stuff.
