Unemployed Rate

My goodness I am looking at the statistics of the rate of those who are unemployed. I saw the rate in the millions and I was like jeez.

I have seen a lot of posts online where people saying they are unemployed since the fall season of 2023 and have been applying to jobs still in 2024 this month. I am just grateful that I have something under my belt that gives me some income. Like the opportunity is slow at times but it is better than nothing.

I agree with you, it may not be your dream job, but at least it is a job and something to be grateful for.

@WillaKissing Honestly the work I have now is still working with children but remotely this time. I had to leave various schools teaching students because the school areas were unsafe. Too many code reds/code yellows. And issues nonstop so I said forget it.

@OpalFlower It is hard working in an unsafe environment, and it is a shame to hear. But I am so happy to hear you took your own personal safety serious and first over all yet still being able to help and teach those that want and need your teaching.🌷

@WillaKissing Yes and I don't take deaths of youth well because with many children I see a lot of potential. I experienced two shootings when I was younger. One at a Martin Luther King Jr where a little girl got shot and that could of been me! The other shooting was when I was in elementary school outside in recess. One student I was told by another staff member said that he died from fentanyl and the boy was very bright! He reminded me of a lawyer since he was extremely inquisitive. The area where he school is located have a lot of crime and drug issues. Let me know if you want to see the article about the child. Also thank you for the warm heartfelt comments. I appreciate it.

@OpalFlower You are quite welcome for the concern.

I spent 27 years in the Army and seen terrible things where multiple people and youths were killed, and I do not want to see any articles about it. Not being rude, I have seen enough and know what goes on in the world.

Sorry so the late reply I just had my internet service restored from hurricane Helene.

@WillaKissing I am glad that you are still here with us and thank you for your service.I apologize since I didn't know. As soon as I added the period to the first sentence I just started crying like I usually do when it comes to topics like this. Had to shift my mind to something else that was uplifting. I am glad that you are safe from Hurricane Helene love.
