The vicious cycle of low paying jobs.

On one hand the workers don't put much effort because there is too much pressure but the pay and resources aren't sufficient. On the other hand, the employer doesn't pay and spend much because the workers don't put much effort.

The constant call for increased productivity can result in emotional stress and burnout of employees due to the many hours of working hard.
Many employees give their all with scant acknowledgement from bosses/management.
Unrealistic time frames, ever increasing budget targets make employees want to look elsewhere for employment.
Many leading hands - bosses have next to no people management skills so the employee is left floundering and feeling unheard and dejected.

@Gusman Some manager's definitely suffer from a lack skills.

@Gusman and something else NOBODY discusses here.. When GRUNTS screw up too much and change jobs often or work under the table and then have to explain things to new employers THEY EVENTUALLY end up COMPLETELY BLACKLISTED FROM THE WORK FORCE and slowly squeezed to death. Or they turn to crime.

All workers are systematically prepared for this doom in careful stages... and by senior year HS only the thoroughly brainwashed are standing up on graduation line

and if they slipped through and are still standing

they don't get invited to celebrate anything. The moron- nerds and the just plain morons and the uglies...they get to think about truth instead.

The hardest working workers...make the least! Not an accident. Hard work is always punished. If we all worked hard we could overturn capitalism. A sharing economy requires the true participation of everyone. no shirkers. As a result all are eligible for commensurate rewards for effort expended. Middleman is eliminated. Bosses are too.

@Shadyglow I wonder why hardwork is punished...

@SW-User Its caqlled CAPITALISM

Of course in a fair society where all get a chance to succeed all will collectively work better, more enthusiastically etc.

What I really mean is the CLAP-O-METER will ring the thing OFF THE STAGE when it sounds up.

So please get interested in more socialistic work projects for America. We have a country and planet to help save. The rest of it always wanted to emulate us even when it wouldn't.
I don't buy that.

I worked a cashier/cleaning job and every night, I gave them my all in the hope that I might get a "Good job, Hooty" - that's all I wanted, verbal acknowledgement... instead, I got "Hurry up" and "You haven't done that properly".

Jeez, What did they expect??? They gave me two jobs and expected me to excel at both simultaneously.
SW-User
@HootyTheNightOwl Unrealistic expectations. No wonder people change these jobs frequently.
@SW-User They had me working from 4pm to 10pm with no break - because I didn't smoke at the time... if I had been a smoker, I would have gotten a cigarette break.

Left to me, I would have split the work that I did between 2 or 3 people to be better efficient for the customers. I'd have had one cleaning the toilets, restocking tea, coffee and juice and cleaning the staff room someone else cleaning the shop floor and serving the customers with change and a third person cleaning machines and keeping the customers refreshed.

I wasn't that happy about handing out drinks when my hands were drenched in methylated spirits, but I wasn't responsible in the event that I poisoned someone, either.

Another problem is a high turnover rate. Who wants to train a new person who is always going to be slow and ineffective in their beginning over and over? Wouldn't it be more effective to pay someone adequately, give them some benefits and create a more stable work environment by keeping them in the position for a long time?

Spinning wheels to survive and/or barely turn a profit. . . Welcome to modern capitalism.
