I think I'm much better off with my mouth shut.

Idk why I felt confident to interact in conversation today......
So I smiled and said something to someone at work "omg I didn't even realise how long it took us with a certain task! I thought it was X time but it was Y time"
She just looked at me, then looked back down at her phone. Np response. Not even a face expression. I always end up made to feel embarrassed if I talk to people. I just feel that maybe.... maybe I'm extremely annoying. Just my presence ticks people off maybe. Idk how I manage to do that. I'm mostly quiet. I'm just not interesting. I have nothing to say. Someone else could have said exactly that but because they'd be far more charismatic, people would listen and respond. I wonder what's missing. Why I can't be that person. I just want to be treated like a normal human being.

There's freedom to be found when you stop caring about what people think of you

I feel that, that happens to me all the time. Sometimes people are rude to me for no reason, and in your case, it's her problem not yours...

@flowersinbloom I'm sorry :(
Thanks for understanding. I will never understand people.

@turningthekeys 😞that does not help build your confidence too interact with others when the person you spoke too could not even have the good manners too reply too you even if it was a simple answer

I know that feeling very well but I doubt it’s personal she probably didn’t know what to say and is also shy. One time I cracked a joke in front of two co-workers and they were sitting at the desk and they just both looked at me for like 3 seconds and then looked back at the computer and they just started talking about something else.. I felt so stupid after that.. maybe the joke was mean or they felt like I was mocking.. for me it was probably personal but in your situation you didn’t say anything that would be taken the wrong way .. saying about the time? What’s wrong with that?
turningthekeys · 31-35, F
@Wallflow3r I'm sorry that's happened to you too 😭

@turningthekeys Is their anything in your past interactions that would make her not like you?
turningthekeys · 31-35, F
@Wallflow3r not really. Just that I'm really awkward and not witty
