Quit. I never gave any notices. Just boom left
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
@SW-User Do you still get your last salary and end of service if you don't comply with your contract?
SW-User
@BittersweetPotato the hours that I worked were all paid
Notanymore · 41-45, M
Keep working because they pay better than anything else I can find, and honestly more than I'm worth. It's okay to put up with a little toxic.
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
I would just look for something else and then quit and by quit i mean stay the required end of period notice.
plungesponge · 41-45, M
My timing is decided by when my next job wants me to start
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I suppose it would depend on factors. In general id try to give notice
Convivial · 26-30, F
Use their paid time to find a different job
Fluffybull · F
Yes. On two occasions I just walked out.
HowtoDestroyAngels · 46-50, M

HannibalMontanimal · 26-30, M

@MrBlueGuy you petty
GypsyMiss · 46-50, F
If a place was really toxic I would probably quit, but if I thought long and hard, I would probably apply for leave, resign on my last day and never come back.
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
It depends on whether I need connections from that job moving forward
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
I’d find something else. To difficult for me to work in that environment
Give notice and smile to everyone on the way out so I can use this job as a reference.
SW-User
I'll give two weeks, but I have walked off a job or three because they were horrible.
Neoerectus · M
Did that twice.
SW-User
Quit, after I have a new job in this hellhole job market.
Starkizzed21 · 31-35, F

I would stuff my feelings as long as I could, and then blow up and walk off the job.

Please note that I'm not suggesting anyone do that. I'm just being realistic with regard to what I would do.

Be an interesting story, though.
SpaceJesus · 41-45

@MethDozer I remember one time, I was at a Denny's with some friends, and we were waiting quite a while for our order. Come to find out, the cook head gotten POed and walked out.

You talk about leaving the manager with a dumpster fire. Our meal ended up being free.
MethDozer · M
@LordShadowfire As a manager after arguing with my district manager from corporate and being so infuriated and insulted that when he left and knew he was at the next store over an hour away. Called everyone outside for a meeting and locked the place before tossing the keys on the roof and just left.
He tried to dock my pay for lost wages on the other workers but the labor board upheld the law that they can't do that.
I walked off my share of toxic jobs without notice.
