If you want them to know how much effort you out into it let them know. Explain why you think it was good.
If they still dont appreciate it. Just know you did good and be proud of what youve accomplished. You know what your capable of doing. Other things will come up in life where you will be honored for your hard work.
Annoyed 🙄..really it depends on who is saying that. I've lived with that for a lifetime. Within my family, nothing I do is ever good enough. It makes me not want to do anything. Parts of me have absolutely given up because I'm tired of trying. You need to find a positive environment. You need better support.
Probably how I feel now, position terminated after over a decade with a company, by a new boss who got the position title wrong and knew jack about what I did. Going through the court system now
@Nowuseemenowudont wasn't my months of work, was what I sacrificed to go there and what everyone else got the opportunity for except me. And now they're emailing me to try and get me back again
No use to you getting that info at the end of a project. Had Supervisors and Management done their job properly you might have been able to influence the outcome.
@Bugbittinbrain Experience in the past. I've worked hard for a position in a work place, did double shift, put in the elbow grease only for the postion to be filled in by a family member that is not qualified but only got it through nepotism
I had same deal working with my dad. He always showed off things I designed but he took credit for it. If someone caught something wrong that he had done or forgot to do, he would always tell that I was responsible. I quit soon after he went off on me and a crew I was running and I got a great job at a really good company that treated workers like gold. Nothing hits you worse than busting your butt and do a great job and have some lazy POS stealing your work. No difference really from somebody stealing credit for someone else’s painting or book.
I work aged care. Management are useless pricks that deserves to be thrown out the nearest window. But It's not about them. You do your best for the patients.
