throw Christmas parties?

The last work Christmas party for me was in 2008, this is some bs, I love work Christmas parties. 😒

I only have a bike so I rode with that thing under my arm for 3.5 miles

It’s surprising what you can carry on a bicycle. I do most of my shopping with my bike but I have like saddlebags on back with a rack. I have even carried a kitchen chair on the back of my bike it’s fun to see other people stare as you go by. 😂 @caPnAhab

The last few years they have been cancelled, and now I am self-employed . My husband's work is likely planning on something. If the midterm elections go as predicted, they will likely do that or a NYE party to celebrate. Those are fun!

the Hospital has a black tie Christmas Affair and my husband provides tickets to any of his staff who wish to attend. we invite them to our New Years Eve party along with spouses or a date

Yes, they hold parties in a hotel normally. Never been, never will. I am anti-social and do not like Christmas.

More like these pathetic office luncheons that no one even wants. One year they actually put it to a vote whether people wanted the luncheon or just a $20 giftcard and I'm pretty sure everyone opted for the giftcard. They haven't made that deal since. I usually just come up with an excuse as to why I have to leave the office if I'm not already off that day.

Nope, they just give two hours of Admin leave to be used in December, in theory for a Co-workers get together if you guys decide to have one.

But I think most just use it and either take off early, or use six hours of normal leave to take off a full 8 hour day.

yeah, its cheesy and corny and nobody goes except for the admin people who bend over and kiss the bosses ass. my section does our own Christmas celebration and its pretty cool.

They used to throw the best parties.
Beer n bbq.
Now it’s a dinner dress 5 course meal at some swanky hangout in the city and you bring your wife/husband.
Nobody goes except management..

@calicuz you’re not wrong. I do have one I’ll share. It was boyfriends Christmas party, we were 20. He was having a conversation with his boss, I was cuddled up to him with his arm around my shoulders and I guess I got bored and decided to stick my hand down his pants and play with his dick. He he just kept on talking to his boss, I barely remember doing this because I was so drunk. 😅😂
He still brings it up.
