I wanna throw my phone out of my car window

My coworker was supposed to work for me today during the dinner shift. But apparently I was schedule lunch and dinner. The manager changed the schedule and my friend from work calls me telling me I was supposed to come in.


I wasn't aware of these changes. I feel bad because I know how hectic lunch is and we've been working short during it for weeks. All of a sudden there's a person that comes in at 10 and it's me?!


Plus everyone on this shift is new, and they're lazy. You think I'm coming in just so I could be carrying the team? Nah. Imma act stupid. Sorry but I didn't know. Fire me if you want to, I don't wanna work with you anyway. You don't even know what you're doing and you get your way by buying your higher up Chick-fil-A and Starbucks, bye I'm throwing my phone away

That is bullshit! You don`t change the schedule and not tell anyone affected by it. They can`t fire you for that. 🤨

@Jeephikelove Nah they're often selfish and haven't learned how to think of other people's well being while under pressure. You need an experienced manager who can deal with all the youngster drama.

Just go in. Carry the team. Train the new people on how to do their job better. Then go home and update your resume. "Currently lead a team of x number of employees in the absence of management." "Trained x number of employees on ____." Go on indeed and linkedin and other job websites and spam your resume out to everyone. Find a higher paying job and put in your notice. That will be more revenge than anything you could do at your job.

There isn’t any love for the “low-wage jobs” that run society just as much as any other. Professionalism is only found in jobs that pay well.

Sounds like a few places around here that schedule employees then add or delete shifts. And also expect employees to be on call if it gets too busy.

@CountScrofula yeah I'm really starting to realize how bad things get at places like this. They really don't care, and they're stressing their employees out
