Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
@Bill1372 mostly that window but yes I have worked lots of 7am-10 or11pm
Bill1372 · 51-55, M
@Jeephikelove that’s some long days!!
Jeephikelove · 46-50, F
@Bill1372 yes, the OT is nice though

I used to, but spending 2 hours in traffic everyday was miserable. I now have a job closer to home working 4 10-hour days. It makes a big difference
I do. I struggle working the average 9-5 monday-friday. I did it once and felt the worse kind of depression. The numb kind.
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
M-F, and some Saturdays.
6:30am til whenever I’m done, which is usually around 4 or 5pm.
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
@Bill1372 Yes. By the first week of November it’s time for decorating homes for Christmas. It blows my mind that people pay for someone to decorate their house, but we have a huge client list so it keeps me busy. 👌🏻

@BananaBrown sounds good… you in the northeast I’m guessing?
BananaBrown · 41-45, F
@Bill1372 Midwest

I do your typical 8-5. It's the point where I can BS when I want and make up hours when I want.

Sounds privileged right? I still hate it. Companies suck.
@Rokasu Companies do in fact suck.
Bill1372 · 51-55, M
@Rokasu most companies only care about the bottom line which is why they suck… There are some good ones out there but hard to find
Rokasu · 36-40, M
@Bill1372 Impossible to find. Neigh. Improbable to find.

Around here many people work withe the tide that changes every day by an hour. I use to work about 4-5 hours at a time around the low tide time of the tide. It can be hard work but it can also be fairly good money.

I work 24/7... no day off and no holidays...
@Bill1372 There's no one to step in and do my role... not even for a few hours so I can do my own thing.
Bill1372 · 51-55, M
@HootyTheNightOwl sorry to hear that.. sounds like you could use a break
@Bill1372 I'd love a 9 to 5... just to have a clock out time and know that anything after that is my time to do as I please with.

Logically, I don't see that happening any time soon, though
IceQueen88 · 36-40, F
I work 8- whenever they tell me I can leave ... Suppose to be around 430 but can easily work till midnight
I’ve never worked that kind of job in my life. Always contract type of work.
ButterRobot · 51-55, M

Jeffrey53 · 51-55, M
Wednesday through Sunday 10PM - 7AM
icedsky · 51-55, M
12 hour shifts. 2 day shifts then 2 night shifts. Start at 7:30 Am or Pm.
Usually 7am to 5 pm or later M-F and sometimes on WE's a bit
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
3 - 12s. Nights.
DDonde · 31-35, M
I have in the past. I used to do 3-4 day 12 hr shifts over the weekends in 2021
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
M-F 10 to 6, but also extra hours whenever needed. So sometimes I'll get 12 or 14 hour days or work a weekend. Or I'll get 60 to 70 hour weeks for a couple months but those are pretty rare lately. Done them before though. Salary, so no overtime when it happens.
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
10-6 but also generally on call and have to put in extra time to meet deadlines if I'm not done on time. Salaried, so no extra pay for that extra time either.
