What is the worse job experience you ever had

Mindful · 56-60, F
I have a ridiculously positive attitude. It makes me a mark for negative nancy’s.

They’re mostly all gone, and I’m still there. Another positive person joined the team and told a lot of people the things I do behind the scenes and DONT brag about. She only found out because we worked together closely. She helped turned things around for me at work.

My work ethic: work with integrity and out last the boss and anyone else that tries to take you down.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s very challenging. Some people are mean and they’re waaaay off. Some bosses are abusive and want to make you quit. Bosses come and go. I wish them well as long as they aren’t serial killers. Meditation keeps me grounded. I can only hope and pray it will continue to do so. But yes I’ve witnessed many tears of others. I’ve shed a few myself. Then I just say, I’m going to do an even better job at work.

Oh so a serious an example what I suffered: my boss picked up something I had created, passed it around, said “I don’t know who created this, then called it a shitty work and that she never wanted to see another thing like it.” Naturally I defended my work. She did t like me much after that. She had me audited like 12 times. She ended up having to audit a to. Of other people to save her ass from mistreating others unfairly. Now she audits constantly, whee as hardly did before. Lol. We still work together. But she lost my trust. Because she listened to a Negative Nancy.

@Mindful I personally experience being belittled by my boss. Till the point i want to walk out of the door.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@MatthewTheHamster if you enjoy what you do, don’t. It really is them, not you.
MatthewTheHamster · 31-35, M
@Mindful I really enjoyed what i am doing, but constantly getting last minute request.

Changes at the very last minute. It really wear me out.
Till the point i doubt my passion.

After giving my two week notice, being teased and treated poorly until I left
Nakedgamer77 · 41-45, M
@zeeva70 Damn! That's fucked up
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@zeeva70 That happened to me too. Then my bitch of a boss decided to tell everyone I quit without notice- even future potential employers who called her to check my work history. I even had a copy of the resignation letter I'd given her. But it was her word against mine. Some bosses really are psychopaths.
MatthewTheHamster · 31-35, M
@DearAmbellina2113 I can totally relate.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
A Toshiba factory. It was akin to what working in a sweatshop must be like. I lasted 3 days. On the 4th day I couldn't even move or get out of bed I was so exhausted and sore. Called and resigned.
MatthewTheHamster · 31-35, M
@DearAmbellina2113 My current job, on the very first day. My gut is telling me to get out. I didn't believe it. Which result my soul is dying.
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
@MatthewTheHamster I'm definitely against staying at a job that kills your soul (or body).
ZonkeyBalls · 46-50, M
@DearAmbellina2113 I hope you got a reference from that job. ASUS is a lot more tolerant as a work place, at least that's what I've heard.

I was once an elevator operator in the fashion district of Manhattan.

An once I got into a bit of a tiff with Ralph Lauren but didn’t know he was Ralph Lauren at the time.
Mindful · 56-60, F
@User41 awesome. I hope you won. Lol
User41 · 36-40, M
My uncle owned the building.

I got into a lot of trouble for it. But I kept my job for the remainder of the summer...

I was only 17 at the time
Nakedgamer77 · 41-45, M
I worked at Taco Bell when I was 17. My boss sent me home because I was wearing the wrong type of pants. Oh, then there was the time at Burger king that I burned my manager with hot oil from the fryer. On accident of course
xSharp · 31-35, M

MatthewTheHamster · 31-35, M
