Working in a dry cleaners all by myself that had very few customers. It didn't even pretend to pay a livable wage but I wrote about two-thirds of my first novel there.

I worked at a sort of 'edgy' sub place for a year where we could play obnoxious music, be a little rude to customers, and the food was really, really good. Fun times. It never got too hard.
