Is “remote” work another way of saying “overwhelmed and hiding in bed” 🙈?

My daughter-in-law works from home, and the on-site location is 200 miles away. She is connected online much of the day and travels to the "headquarters" about once a month for a totally useless meeting. She also travels to remote sites in Florida and other places. She insists that she gets more work done since nobody can stop by her desk and bother her.
