Finally got a message from my boss.

It's been a week at least since the quiet firing started where my tasks are taken and nothing is given. In this time my boss didn't talk or message me.

But today is different. I woke up with a very long message from my boss, and I didn't like what's written on it.

Here's the tldr of my boss's message:
"Invent and build new features to make the company money entirely on your own without me giving you any direction. If you can't read my mind and show 'tremendous growth' in 30 days, you're getting laid off."

And yeah, that sucks, but honestly, I don't think I will be staying here anymore, at least not for a month.

Thats not a great leader, not a great boss. Is this their decision or does it come from the higher ups?
If it is from the higher ups they should be defending you against this sort of thinking.
You need to got ind a new job.

@nonsensiclesnail Thanks its not a manager boss it's actually an owner boss, so he's one of the owner of the company.

@DustyPotato Oh, also, I talked to my husband about this as software development has been his entire career. He said thats the CEOs job, not yours. tell him to get fucked. And that I should tell you this. because.... Lets just say he understands.

@DustyPotato ugh, someone needs to put him in his place. Does he have anyone who puts him in his place? If so you need to talk to them about this. This is an absurd expectation.
And really, a month??!!
