why are more employers paying employees bi-weekly?

@Hanginginthere I am. Ive worked in retail, food service, office settings for a variety of different businesses. The colleges always paid monthly. Retail was bi weekly, as were the food services. Maybe it is the part of the country I live in? Maybe they don't do weekly paychecks in the PNW.

@Hanginginthere I would have loved being paid weekly! Or better, how in old tv shows they are paid at the end of each day.

@nonsensiclesnail temp labour is good for that ..even the machine spits out your cash when you get back from the job. It used to be the pubs would cash your cheque too if they knew you would stay

@atlantic59 hah, I remember that! there was someone in my life always upset that his wife left her paycheck at the bar again.

@nonsensiclesnail so true, but you've only got one day's pay and it might only be for six hours and after all the cuts you are sitting at the table with like minded others and beer is mixed with activities and it's not all that long til the money runs out

@nonsensiclesnail I was paid weekly as a supermarket deli worker as a teenager. But the rest of my life has all been bi-weekly.
