Could a babysitter sue the parents with their child did this?

The following is only a hypothetical question.Suppose a teenage girl took on a job as babysitter for a girl 8-10 years old.Now suppose that while they were alone together, the child-for no apparent reason-walks up to the babysitter and deliberately sticks both of her fingers in the babysitters eyes.Would the babysitter have grounds to sue the parents for assault?

No but her medical bills would be paid aud by homeowners insurance

It might be criminal if the kid was known to have put out a previous sitter's eyes.😧

In a criminal Trial..likely No

Though in civilian trial indeed Yes

Yes. The babysitter can sue for medical damages in civil court.

She can file a civil suit, sure. She might even win.
