Ever run into those people who don't understand self-deprecating humor?

You make a joke putting yourself down one time and then they just take that and run with it as if you find being made fun of to be funny and they really just lay into you any chance they get. It's like woah, it's a sign of humility to do it to yourself but it's just kind of mean to do it to someone else!
