I ended up getting a new one, as even after changing the batteries and regardless of where it was (very even, level concrete floor or tile floor where it had been for a few years prior), it kept doing it, so I tried a new one and it is consistent! I put it in the same spot I had the old one for years.

@BnBSpringer09 someone also told me that when batreries get low, they can affect the readings .... so maybe keep that in mind for tje future 🤷😊

@Tminus6453 Yes it is! I've had it for about three years now, but only noticed it last night!
