Get a good scale. Don't pay attention to fluctuations. weigh yourself first thing in the morning, before you eat or drink anything and right after you pee (with nothing on). That will set a standard that you can measure. I hope this helps.

Mine do that too, but I always trust the lower one. 😄

If you’re weighing yourself on carpet it could be inadequate and if you’re weighing yourself on hard floors/bathroom floors and then weighing yourself on a fluffy carpet in your bedroom then it’s definitely inadequate and will get very different results.

@Gingerbreadspice I was weighing on tile, then moved it to concrete.

Buy a more forgiving scale.

@Fungirlmmm ....or at least a more consistent one.

Time for a new scale

Scales can be weird. Water weight fluctuates with weight change and muscle gain so it's not always the best way to know

It gives you room for cottage cheese in the morning

I retrieve mine from the back yard where i threw it

It sounds like your scale is the problem, not you.

Scales lie, proven fact.😁

Put you scale in one spot and leave it there. Then your weighing will be consistent.
It has to do with eveness and level of the floor.
Mine can change even if i move it a few inches across this old floor.
Also - make sure its on a hard surface - not carpet .

@OogieBoogie Thanks! I ended up getting a new one, as even after changing the batteries and regardless of where it was (very even, level concrete floor or tile floor where it had been for a few years prior), it kept doing it, so I tried a new one and it is consistent! I put it in the same spot I had the old one for years.

@BnBSpringer09 someone also told me that when batreries get low, they can affect the readings .... so maybe keep that in mind for tje future 🤷😊

@Tminus6453 Yes it is! I've had it for about three years now, but only noticed it last night!
