It's a good start. Stave of those hunger pangs until lunch time, and don't up your portions, losing weight requires burning more calories than you consume - I know you know that, but it's something we dieters need to remind ourselves!
@annamk Snacking can be problematic - make sure you only do it at a set time (like half-way between breakfast & lunch). Random snacking has ruined many weight loss efforts.
Is the goal better health or weight loss? 10k steps will help for the former, you will need to include diet in the mix to lose weight. Have you consulted a trainer and or physician?
I just eat one meal a day! I'm pretty skinny still... idk if I lost weight tbh. Oh yeah did I mention I don't do this by choice?

Small adjustments etc can make hell of a difference. I like a few cashew nuts (not too many) mid morning just to keep the hunger away until lunch. All the best with your goals.
