Super El Niño At Work….Yikes!

@4meAndyou We checked the flood plain maps before we bought this home. If there is a lot of rain it will drain out of the addition to the next one east of here. We got 27 inches of rain one May a few years ago and it didn’t flood in this neighborhood. The ground was sure soggy though. That 27 inches in one month was about 9 inches more than we had gotten the entire previous year.

@cherokeepatti Thank heavens. SO many people buy property in flood plains and along the edges of rivers and lakes. I don't know how the insurance companies can afford to keep paying for their destroyed properties!

@4meAndyou I think that insurance is so expensive that many don’t buy it.
