ARe you guys ever going to have a good growing season?
devonman · 61-69, M
@JimboSaturn Deoends on the crop Some being cut early .
Persephonee · 26-30, F
@JimboSaturn As the daughter of farmers I can confirm that no opportunity to complain about the weather should be wasted.

(Particularly when, as in this case, it's a serious concern).
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@Persephonee I've often wanted to be a farmer but being at the whim of forces I can't control would drive me absolutely bonkers.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
you don't want the kind of rain we have been getting. 2 inches per hour than nothing for days.
Nightwings · F
Those look like rain clouds to me 👀
devonman · 61-69, M
@Nightwings That’s what we want , but have not had for months.
AdmiralPrune · 46-50, M
The story is the same here in the Lincolnshire Wolds. But rain is forecast on Saturday for the first time in over four weeks.
gandalf1957 · 61-69, M
@AdmiralPrune yes we have our first hose pipe ban here in the Lincolnshire Wolds area for years .... never thought i would have a hose pipe ban here!
gandalf1957 · 61-69, M
@gandalf1957 they combined the field behind our house yesterday and the barley and wheat appears to be coming in earlier than usual, a huge fire risk to crops this year and i'm not sure how the arable farmers are going to cope with the lack of water.

Stop the lies, it's never dry in England.

You should be thankful God's not urinating on you for few days.
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@BluntSm0ker Au contraire England's climate is changing dramatically. Its more warmer and drier there now. Its predicted it could have a climate similar to Madrid by 2050
BluntSm0ker · 100+, M
@JimboSaturn

And you believe that?
JimboSaturn · 56-60, M
@BluntSm0ker Yes its a fact its getting hotter and drier. Wether it be similar to Madrid is less provable
It's becoming a world issue, we have it here too. Long dry stretches followed by deluges that mostly run off, doing little good.

My own little garden doesn't produce like it used to, I can imagine it's a microcosm of the rest of the world.
InstructHer · 61-69, M
It's parched.
