We turned ours on a few days ago. Our daughter and I get cold very easy.

We been burning wood since late September (we have wood/coal for heat) we live in a very remote area

Haven’t done it yet either. Might have to tomorrow or the next day. My house is insulated pretty good though.

I still sleep with fans on no matter how cold it is but I’m not a fan of cold weather either
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M

I had to turn my heat on about two weeks ago.

It will soon go. It will then soon come again.
Musicman · 61-69, M
We generally don't get that until December and January. I am definitely waiting for it. 😊
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Musicman It’s supposed to touch down into the 30’s for the lows the next three mornings here. I was debating on whether to turn the thermostat settings to “heat” and about 69 F. Last night before going to bed or not. The boy said not to, he gets too warm easily while sleeping.
Musicman · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti I do too, but for the 30's we can have a little heat. We have to draw the line somewhere. What did R think about no heat?
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Musicman It’s not that bad now. He went to sleep and has a blanket on him. The winds died down this evening and that makes a big difference. The house is well-insulated but when the winds are howling it’s worse inside. We had winds 20 mph with gusts to 40 mph all day but at one time this morning they had a 58 mph wind gust. I drank hot drinks all day long. The boy is warm-natured and easily overheated. He doesn’t usually like the heat on this early in the season because he’ll get overheated even while sleeping and kick the blankets off.
