I caved and turned my heat on tonight 😭

I just can’t do the cold anymore. It’s that time of year where the air feels crisp but your house feels like an icebox, and suddenly you’re bundled up like it’s the middle of January. I miss those warm 75-degree days so bad — sunshine, open windows, and not having to choose between freezing or running the heat. Bring that weather back, please!! 🍂🔥

We generally don't get that until December and January. I am definitely waiting for it. 😊

@Musicman Well you are in Florida. You could probably go all year without ever turning on the heat. Just do a little baking like making a cake, baking a casserole or cookies would take the chill out of your house.

@cherokeepatti The only time we need heat is a few nights a year. Once the temps hit the 30's a little heat at night is nice.

@Musicman It’s supposed to touch down into the 30’s for the lows the next three mornings here. I was debating on whether to turn the thermostat settings to “heat” and about 69 F. Last night before going to bed or not. The boy said not to, he gets too warm easily while sleeping.

@cherokeepatti I do too, but for the 30's we can have a little heat. We have to draw the line somewhere. What did R think about no heat?

@Musicman It’s not that bad now. He went to sleep and has a blanket on him. The winds died down this evening and that makes a big difference. The house is well-insulated but when the winds are howling it’s worse inside. We had winds 20 mph with gusts to 40 mph all day but at one time this morning they had a 58 mph wind gust. I drank hot drinks all day long. The boy is warm-natured and easily overheated. He doesn’t usually like the heat on this early in the season because he’ll get overheated even while sleeping and kick the blankets off.
