Its now -8°C and i stuck a measuring tape on my deck. 9" OF SNOW!

I would die. It's 70 with showers, but it's supposed to warm up next week.
oh wow...it's 10c here and it probably won't dip below that (as a daytime low) until october

@beermeplease im guessing you live on the coast?
@GuyWithOpinions yeah, vancouver
hunkalove · 70-79, M

GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M

Surf is at 2.8 metres with onshore light breeze

That's been the theme for about a month for us anyway
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@Notsimilarreally we had a good dry week or so. I was happy that all the snow had just melted.

Why are you using Celsius and inches ? Two different systems of measurement . Where do you live ?
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@AthrillatheHunt canada. We use both. I gave a longer answer in another comment on this post
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@GuyWithOpinions hybrid huh? So you’re using our system of measurement without our permission ? Lawsuit inbound (to quote Elon. Hahaha)
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@AthrillatheHunt haha well i learned metric in like jr. Highschool but never use it because iv always been in construction and use an imperial measuring tape.

Imagine an 8' 2x4. Thats 2.43m long and 5.08 cm x 10.16 cm the math would be ridiculous trying to build something.

So we drive 10km to the store in 10°C to get 8' 2x4s drinking a 20oz coffee 😆

How come you're using the temperature on the metric system and measuring distance with empirical
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@dale74 because i live in canada and work in construction. We use metric for temp, driving distance, liquid etc.

But my measuring tape, building plans and materials are all imperial.

We use both here.
