Too hot to sleep...

I have been trying to outsmart the sun. I went to bed at 11:00 p.m. to try to get in 8 hours of sleep. At 7 a.m, my bedroom turns into an oven.

And my allergies preclude doing this...

And it's not even JUNE yet!!!!

I've been experiencing the same thing. I've taken my covers off the bed and have been sleeping with a simple flat sheet over me.

Even with the AC on, sometimes I'm still hot with that.
Try blackout curtains. I'm just too cheap to buy them

@iamnikki Yes, I have blackout curtains. I found them on sale for $15.99 on Wayfair.com. However, it makes no difference in the heat in the bedroom past a certain point.

@4meAndyou crank up the AC?

@iamnikki I haven't rolled the portable unit over to the sliding glass doors and put in the insert yet. I was hoping to wait till June...it is NEVER this hot in May. And of course the bedroom heater never shuts off...no matter what I do.

@4meAndyou Odd, need to get that heater issue fixed. It's plenty hot in May where I live. It's 80 degrees outside as soon as you wake up

@iamnikki Oh you poor kid!! It's 70 here today, outside. Inside, because it is such a problem with the heaters, it is almost 80.

@4meAndyou If I turn my AC off, which I often do, it gets up to 85 degrees inside my apartment. Sometimes I tolerate it for as long as I can, along with the fan right in my face and a cold drink. Then I have to turn on the AC so that I can sleep
Edit to add it was 84 in my apartment yesterday.
I turn it off and don't let it run all day.

@iamnikki I can NOT deal with heat like that. AC is going in SOON!!!
