Does anyone else feel like when the cold weather hits, the more lethartic one becomes?

The cold weather has finally hit here hard, and I feel like I am getting hit with a double whammy of depression and lethargy.

I get winter depression really bad.

@melissa001 You need more sunlight or a blue light to sit in front of for about 30 minutes every morning. This even works on pets including parakeets after a bout of cloudy dark days in the winter when they act run-down and drag around and won’t interact. Just one treatment will help those birds start chirping and singing again. Several days in a row even better. The last house cat that I had would sit in front of the light like it was a fireplace. The small LED type lamps are just as good as the expensive larger ones and they don’t cost very much any more.

@cherokeepatti I have a bright one, but just knowing it's cold and I can't go outside messes with my mood.

@melissa001 I used to work indoors all day long. By December I would feel like my batteries were about to go dead. After I retired from that job I worked at Walmart indoors for 15 months and didn’t feel that way. I suspect it was due to all the skylights in the store letting in natural sunlight. And I worked another job indoors and there was skylights in that small building as well, never got run down in the winters there.

@cherokeepatti I have panic attacks and so I stay in my house unless I go to the grocery once a week. So that leaves me with little chance to be outside at all.
