Why is it that the ppl in Switzerland carry guns and their crime rate is one of the lowest?!!!

In Hungary, u cannot own a firearm! Their crime rate is one of the highest!!! Which leads me to believe that it’s the ppl & not the guns that is the problem!!!!!

Korea has strict gun laws and we have no problem with it I am currently doing a semester in Japan and they have no gun problems because they check your mental illness and if you have ties with exermist groups before you can get a gun
@SakiSaki perhaps that’s a special case?! I’m ignorant in the customs of that country so plz forgive me?!

@Shewolfiie69 It's fine. We do have gangs, but there's never any big problem with the,

Different culture. Tiny country. Also much stricter gun control laws.
@CountScrofula and...that’s the correct way to own a gun! Not just anyone should own one?!!!
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@Shewolfiie69 Sure! I mean, we may be agreeing on stuff here, lol. My point is that you can own guns and still have lots of gun control, and I think that's a better system than owning guns with almost no gun control. :D
@CountScrofula I own several firearms since my dad use to be a collector. He was ex- navy seal. I have a license to carry. I think it’s ideal for women since we aren’t as strong as men and so on... I wear a powerful stun gun as well! Lol! But I must tell u...I believe that PREVENTION is key! I avoid getting into situations that are dangerous! It’s also wise to know a bit of martial arts!!! Lol!

Easy math, when everyone around you is carrying gun you will think twice before you pull out a gun to rob someone because now there is a risk of you being shot by the people around you.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@Cannabro well that obviously works out really well!

Switzerland actually has pretty strict guns laws.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_laws_in_Switzerland

Guns, ammo, carrying guns, hunting, licensing, it's all very strict. We have nothing like it.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
But add guns to people with problems and it's a disaster!
@ozgirl512 I hear u! I guess the citizens in Switzerland are just more nature?!!!
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@Shewolfiie69 I think so..I don't want this to be an anti American rant, but the country has problems
@ozgirl512 I couldn’t agree with u more! Some ppl would rather watch Jerry Springer than to watch The History or Science channel!!!!

I believe yournstatisticsbare incorrect but it isn't worth arguing. The point is that our society seems to have grown more violent and it is the access to weaponsn of mass destruction which produces a near perfect storm that ends in tragedy.
@samueltyler2 how is it incorrect?! Plz tell me? I got the info reading different news organizations! Why don’t u find out for yourself?! Lol! Yes! Ur correct when u say we are violent! Guess what?! We have ALWAYS BEEN VIOLENT! Lol! It’s just easier to know about it because of our smartphone, media, etc.! My whole point is that we lack maturity as well as being educated in the use and care of firearms! It’s simply a tool!

@Shewolfiie69

I am not sure where to find data that we would all agree upon, however here is some data, albeit a bit old, that does have the US at #7 adjusted per population and number one unadjusted. Unfortunately, they did not adjust for numbers of weapons owned by citizens. Switzerland on this display ranks just above the US for adjusted rates of rampage shooting fatalities corrected for population.

Not true about Hungary. Murder rate is much higher generally on the American and African continents
I've never felt at risk in Hungary
