Is The Sims 4 really free?

On Steam it says "free to play."

I'm thinking 🤔 that's too good to be true.

The base game is free, but that's to lure you in and get you buying the add-ons. They do add up. But I still recommend playing.

No. Its free to install the game but you have make in game purchases to use anything. Just like almost any "free to play" game.

You can bootleg all the dlc and base game off rutracker.. but the base game is already free on steam.
