Games I am playing

I like chatting about videogames with folks on here sometimes and getting recommendations. Currently I am playing 3 different games.

The first is called Cat God Ranch. It is a strategy farming game. Basically every round you pick animals to add to your farm, and all the animals have different effects and possible synergies that play out every turn. It is cute, the animals make funny noises, and it's really entertaining. There is also a huge variety of animals you can have on your ranch, including reptiles ocean creatures and with a dlc you can even have dinosaurs. It is refreshing when most farming sims have like...cows sheep and maybe pigs or one or two extra animals and that's it. I love that I can just have a farm of leopard geckos and rats if I want. Lol.

The second game is a very popular one, Magic the Gathering Arena. It's the magic card game but the online version. I have just started getting into it, so I'm not very good yet, but coming up with ideas for decks is fun. For anyone who doesn't know about it it is a strategy trading card game. You just battle different cards. It is free with in app purchases for things like cosmetics, but many of the cosmetics you can buy w in game currency as well. I do wish it was possible to unlock the premium battle pass track with in game currency like how you can do in Disney dream light, but oh well. Small complaint.

The third game I've been playing is Let's Build a Zoo, which is basically a zoo tycoon game but with a morality system and animal hybridization and is a little more on the goofy side as opposed to the more serious planet zoo. I am really enjoying this game. It is funny, it has a surprising amount of depth but does a very good job slowly introducing you to all the various systems so you don't get overwhelmed. It is perfect for me because it doesn't give quite as much freedom as planet zoo so it is less stressful. Planet zoo I will play, spend 5 hours decorating my entrance and then that's it. This zoo game was much easier to get going with. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes games with animals or who liked planet zoo or zoo tycoon.

Anyone else playing any fun strategy games similar to these they would recommend?

For me recent most played games

Fallout 4, until the last update, I was playing it on a PS4, now the game is broke

farming simulator 19 and a bit of 25, 19 lets you raise horses, chickens', pigs, sheep as well as crops

Skyrim

Horizon Zero Dawn, which I read somewhere Sony did have plans to make it a series on Netflix but now plans it to be a movie, there are a lot of YouTube videos on it covering the story behind the game.

@AllycatAD I really enjoyed the farming simulator games. I played the one that came out before the newest one and the newest one. I loved the realismus mod they had for the first one that added a lot of layers of realism to the game. I wish they'd make that for the new one then I think I'd play it more.

My only issue with the farming sim games is they are very complex so most of the time I find them too overwhelming to really get into very much.

@AllycatAD Were you playing Fallout 4 with mods?
@Allelse I did, it's working ok now

@AllycatAD Were the mods updated by creators?
@Allelse just going modless now

TBH, the game worked but loading screens when fast travel were longer than usual, and slight stability issues. I removed to two mods and it works better

Even went to Far Harbor again
