No, I love flying, the only bad part of flying for me is the boarding process. The walking through the airport, finding the gate, waiting to board is all apart of the vacation experience for me.

@calicuz I was the same. the flying didn't worry me but until it happened all I knew about airports were film and news scenes of mazes of interminably long corridors full of grim-faced people walking as fast as they could, all obviously knowing exacalt where they ere going and woe betide any tyro in the way.

So I was afraid not of the flights (I enjoyed those) but of the airports - would I be in the right place at the right time or end up trying to persuade some suspicious Albanian customs officer that actually I should have arrived in Edinburgh not Tirana?

I remember a time when the passengers on planes would clap for the pilot after a safe landing.

@calicuz I must admit I'd never heard of until here! Though I have only made one return flight aborad, and half a dozen within Britain.
