Are you a plane clapper?

Do you clap when the plane lands?

No. Why would I?

[Scrolls that video off the screen.]

I admit tohaving flown less than ten times in my life, and only once abroad, but I had no idea passengers break into applause on landing. My memory of the arrival sound is of "Click-CLick-Click" as seat-belts are released.

Neither have I heard rounds of applause when the train reaches my destination. If I did, I might fear it is for me alighting at last!

@ArishMell

I remember a time when the passengers on planes would clap for the pilot after a safe landing.

@calicuz I must admit I'd never heard of until here! Though I have only made one return flight aborad, and half a dozen within Britain.
