Was there only 1 person in the air traffic controll tower manning all the planes! WOW! I wonder if FAA people had gotten the resignation letters!

No one working in the tower was fired. You do have an overly active imagination. This accident was much more likely the cause of the helicopter being flown remotely with pilots aboard than lack of ATC supervision. We have on tape the ATC telling the helicopter to watch out for the jet. For what ever reason the helicopter pilots didn't follow ATC instructions. It is tragic that there was loss of life but lets never be so crass as to try to blame a president whose term just began as the cause. If you fire the top person in the FAA with just cause since the FAA was hiring Air Traffic Controllers with severe mental handicaps ...... What would you have done? Given that FAA head a raise? Yes I know he was only acting on the insistence of the former secretary of transport Pete Butthole but still the director should have been fired for such stupidity and callous approach to potential loss of life.

@Carazaa I have no idea why people kill people other than they are evil. What I do know is the FAA website was advertising looking for people to be ATC with much lower standards than should ever be accepted. In fact Trump signed an EO to look into the hiring practices. IF the FAA failed to hire the brightest and best and if it can be shown that that such hiring resulted in this loss of life then those who instituted the hiring practice should be up on murder charges. They not Trump firing the head of the FAA are the problem should that be shown to be the case. Sadly your TDS wants to blame Trump for everything. He must be Superman to earn such loathing from you if you think he is controlling the number of ATC in a tower on any given night.

Ummm, there were 2 controllers in the tower, but they were doing the work of 4 people, talking on different radio frequencies. FAA air traffic controllers must take a initial physical exam, and then pass an annual physical exam.
