There is no such thing in Australia - every outlet here except maybe very remote rural ones is self-serve and has been for years. But I still pay with cash and refuse to pay with a card. I love fucking with people's minds in retail places.
has to be a full service station. don't and won't pump gas
@Pikachu born and raised in NJ. jersey girls don't pump gas
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@saragoodtimes they still have full service in jersey?
@ViciDraco it's still illegal to pump your own gas in Jersey. the last holdout
Pretzel · 61-69, M
I prefer to pump my own gas but I have to admit thee full service where they check your oil and air is pretty nice.
@Pretzel

Same
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@Pretzel I could live with that. I don't check my car nearly as much as I should. If they could also valet it, that would be great.
Self serve with a payment terminal on the pump so I don't have to go in the shop!
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
@CheekyBadger you have to be swipe your card before you start. I'm not sure if I trust those to stop when they should.
@Jacko1971 yes - they put a hold on around £100 (it varies between retailers) to ensure you have enough to pay and then you fill up and then it takes what you have pumped. It's essentially the same as if you pay in the kiosk as you will still pay what is on the pump as unless you can prove you didn't get the right amount of fuel there's not a lot you can do to dispute it.
Snuffy1957 · 61-69, M
I don't think they even have full service stations anymore !
You just couldn't let that debate with that user slide could you?

Self service only here in uk must be 40yrs now
Catzgano · 31-35, F
I like to do it myself because they’ve not put the gas cap on tight or left it on the trunk of my car and I had to go back because my car run’s totally horrible without the gas cap locked down
Jenny1234 · 51-55, F
There is only one full service station where I live. I like the owner but I don’t really have time for the chit chat
Crazywaterspring · 61-69, M
Full service. I can pump my own gas check oil and tires and maybe use their rest room. No, I don't leave my car unattended by the gas pump.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
I’m a commuter. All I care about is convenience and a low gas price. I do like when those two have a convenience store attached as well.

What do you mean ? All the gas stations I know let me pump the in my tank.
deadgerbil · 22-25
I've only been to self serve so I don't really care for full service
When the price is the same I'll take the full service line
Musicman · 61-69, M
Self service. I am not willing to pay for full service.
GJOFJ3 · 61-69, M
Are there any full service stations anymore?
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
I haven't even seen a full service gas station in 30+ years. When I was able to walk, I would have found it weird and awkward. Now missing a leg, I have to admit it would be pretty convenient.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
Full service because I don’t want to pump my own gas and there’s no difference in price so why would I want to do it myself.
itsok · 31-35, F
@iamonfire696 here there is a pretty big difference for self serve and full service
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
@itsok Really? How much difference is there? I had no idea that there was.

When I go to the city I usually go to the Indigenous gas station which is full serve and gas is 2-3 cents a litre cheaper than everywhere else.
Monalisaa1986 · 36-40, F
If I had a car , self service, plus in Australia we have no choice
Renaci · 36-40
I'd rather do it myself because I'm not a people person. So the less people the better.
But on the other hand it helps provide jobs to people.
I actually grew up with station attendants. But they got rid of them all to cut corners.
