Ever let your teen who was raised in the suburbs drive to the city?

[c=BF0080]My dad said, “you learned to drive that big truck with your permit alone here, she’ll be fine.” Me: “She’ll freak once she’s on 95, even with me.”

Daughter trying to merge on 95 freaked out and at a complete stop:

Me: (Screams) Get aggressive!!

Her: (After finally getting aggressive and on the road) “Why are these people so mean?”

Then she waves everyone to get in front of her on another highway so they don’t feel like she did till she saw this guy(right not in a lane) later 😂 “What’s wrong with these people today?!”

My poor child. I said I’m sorry I yelled at you before, but I didn’t think you would’ve moved. She agreed and said she doesn’t ever wanna drive to the Bronx again 🤣 She will with me though till she’s comfortable enough to do it on her own. [/c]

Slightly off subject but speaking of stopping on the highway, why is it that some cities are putting these damn stop lights at the end of the on-ramp just before it hits the highway?

I thought that was just in Colorado springs but they're doing it in my city too

@CestManan [c=BF0080]Maybe it’s to prevent people from having trouble merging 🤔 I’m not sure 🤔[/c]

@MellyMel22 I mean if somebody has a fast car they can get 0 to 60 in just a few seconds then it wouldn't be a problem but otherwise all it does is present a different type of safety hazard.

It is not solving any problems, just rearranging them.

We can never wait until we are old enough to drive but then we get out on the road behind the wheel and find out what it's really like.

@CestManan [c=BF0080]Yeah, I get it. It doesn’t make much sense. [/c]
