The mini van even if it doesn't look like a van. The more space the better.
The station wagon reminds me of the movie Casper. The family arrives in one like that.

I drove station wagons for years
HumanEarth · F
I had a couple favorite wagons.
1959 Crown Victoria Wagon
1964 Oldsmobile Vesta Cruiser
1968 Pontiac Bonneville Wagon
1977 Pontiac Catalonia Wagon
1982 Chevrolet Impala Wagaon
Couple of them me and my friends muscled them up. The impala we even added a blower. That one became a race car

Station wagon. That's a classic.

I had an opportunity to drive both. I prefer a station wagon. We had one of these when I was younger

Well because you said one or the other and no other choices like I would rather walk or take a bus or train or something like that, so Station wagon the minivan of the 50', 70's, and early 80's.

@HumanEarth I will stick with my pickup trucks without all the modern tech junk. Power windows, cruise control, AC, back up camera, and hands-free calling is all I need. Oh, Off road trailer package for my farm/Hunting/camping.
HumanEarth · F
@WillaKissing I have old trucks to and they have to be stick shift for me to like them. Specially if it has the granny gear
Like this picture of SM465 manual transmission (Sorry internet find, I just broke my freaking camera)

The SM420 had the reverse next to second gear the SM465 has the reverse as shown in picture.
That's how you can tell an older and newer Saginaw/Muchie truck transmissions apart

@NativePortlander1970 my dad owned both, my dad loved AMC cars. They were fun to drive because both where stick shift
@HumanEarth My uncle souped his Gremlin up and got sub 12s on the 1/4 mile, he often raced for pinks and won, his Concord and Javelin often won awards.

The "Family Trucksters".....................
HumanEarth · F
@Musicman That surprised me. I would've thought for sure the Wagon for you
@HumanEarth I grew up with them. A lot of my friends parents had them. These days I just like the modern conveniences of the minivan over the wagon. Now classic muscle cars are quite another thing.
HumanEarth · F
About 20 years ago my friends and I turned a 1982 Chevrolet Impala wagon into a pro street race car and we would race it. We even added a blower to it
Don't forget the rear facing fold down seat on the grocery getter
@HumanEarth Nothing is more fun than busting catfish.
HumanEarth · F
I used to hang out in chatrooms in the early days of America Online You Got Mail
@HumanEarth I did more web chats than aol or yahoo, I was also on IRC a lot too, catfish from hell on those channels.
