Hmmmm I wonder now many lives were changed by similar encounters (in your case almost), could you imagine you bumped into him and spilled some of his Late. What an ice breaker. I’ve seen that movie. Now I’m thinking back to my life and similar encounters that might have led to conversation or more. I feel like I’ve had a few. Thinking. I’ll get back to you!

@Punxi I thought a little bit more about this today while working. I could only think of situations where I started a conversation from a chance encounter but I didn’t take it any further and regretted it after. One was on a NYC subway. A young girl (I was young then too lol) was sitting holding a record album from a pretty obscure artist that I loved. So started chatting with her and it was nice. But it felt too awkward to ask for her number on the subway. What this has to do with your morning encounter and thoughts I have no idea!

Happenstance began a conversation with an older man at an antiques convention once in San Francisco.
I'd gone there to purchase an advertised bracelet made from the copper discovered beneath the site of the first Farris wheel at the Worlds Fair in Chicago in the 1800s.
Farris fan...
Anyway, his name was Mudgett.
As a fan of biographies, a few questions latter he was in fact a decent of Herman Webster Mudgett...
Prolific serial muderer whom preyed upon woman...during The Worlds Fair where my Farris wheel was debuted.
The universe already knows who we will cross paths with.
Just a matter of reception.
