if laughter is the best medicine, why haven't we perscribed it to kids with cancer yet?

I guess you aren't aware of the countless people spending time in cancer hospitals doing just that.
Just to throw it out there, trying to be clever and funny around cancer is a pretty tall task and usually ends in failure. Like your comment.

There is at least one documented case in which a man was diagnosed with cancer. He started to watch funny movies as often as possible, and his cancer went into remission.
