If we don't teach drilling a hole in the skull to relieve headaches, due to people's beliefs, why do we teach taking 2 aspirin?

Because drilling a hole in your head doesn't make your headache go away, but often times, if you take an aspirin, it will.

@BlueMetalChick: My sacred text says it does! Cletus 45:14 "And saith Cletus, the sharpened stick of the yew turned 14 times in praise of me may bringeth relief to thine ache of head."

@AlasPoorYorick: Yeah I'm usually more willing to give remedies a fair shake when others have tried it and say it works, not cos a "sacred text" says so.

@BlueMetalChick: Oh, lawd Cletus, bring this thy servant, a change in feeling for this, thy lost chick. Bring her back into the hen house of your blessed firmament!
