That he's a liar, and greatly overestimated as a leader if he thinks we fall for such bullsh*t

That if the other 90% of his force is as useless/inefficient then the world has nothing to fear?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Nimbus 😂😂 👍
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
A message of intimidation. It seems he has become isolated from his experienced military leaders and is listening to those close to him who tell him what he wants to hear. (Where else have we heard that recently?) As with the Russian experience in Afghanistan, the more troops you put on their soil, the more they will kill. It is the defenders advantage. They own the field.😷

Perhaps the other 90% defected to Finland. One can hope.

What message is he trying to send?
A lie; just like all the others.
Adstar · 56-60, M
That He miscalculated the requiored force needed and tried to do it on the cheap... Now of course he is paying a big price for his Russian Empire delusions..
Madgirl · 26-30, F

@TheArbitrator the russian invaders are pretending they have not lost any of their thugs... let’s see how they explain their losses to Russia’s mothers. The gangster régime lies as a routine behaviour, so will probably report that 12,000 of Russia’s children died in accidents, or committed suicide, or deserted, or... whatever lie seems convenient.

So putin sent in an undermanned force... it’s no wonder the russian attack has stalled. The murderous autocrat putin thought this would be a few days, and that his thugs would be welcomed with flowers and music. Instead his war is now more than two weeks old, his gangster state is hurtling towards bankruptcy, the world supports Ukraine, and his army is barely moving.
Because he is desperate, putin will now tell his thugs to attack the civilian population much, much, more than they already do. Big mistake. Huge!

going to do it with only 180,000

@TheArbitrator Even if Ukraine surrenders, the insurgency will continue for years. As long as Russians occupy their soil, the Ukrainians are going to resist. I don't know what Putin expects to gain here. He could have accomplished so much more in other ways. And his country's economy is a mess now. His pals are upset because they're losing their ill gotten gains. Plus.... you can't even get a big Mac in Moscow. That's gotta hurt...
He’s a liar. If the Ukrainians are killing conscripts, which have now been prove by US sources, he’s all in.
Zaphod42 · 51-55, M
Every word out of that idiots mouth has been a lie, so why would I believe what he says about his forces?
DoubleRings · 51-55, F
He’s trying to tell you 90% of the shit is about to hit the fan.
Ceinwyn · 26-30, F
Every time Putin makes a statement about the Ukraine.

That what has been happening in Ukraine is just a warm-up
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
He tries to demotivate Ukrainian soldiers and threaten other countries like he does from the very beginning.

@newjaninev2 No, I had different thing in mind. How to discredit Ukraine and plant doubts into people from the West. Throw in "evidence" of something, blaming attacks on Ukraine while it will be their doing.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@CrazyMusicLover Yes, and recently he has pointed to the threat of russia being brutally attacked by Ukrainian maternity hospitals. Fortunately the gallant russian troops were able to overcome the threat.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
that there are reserves
graphite · 61-69, M
Is he going to send all of them to Ukraine? What happens when China starts taking its chunk of Siberia, because the Russian soldiers who guarded the place are now deployed in Ukraine? Let Putin spread himself too thin.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
He's trying to be intimidating. Plain and simple. He's suggesting that he could put nine times the boots on the ground he's already put there, and create an overwhelming wave of soldiers.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@LordShadowfire I wonder what’s going on inside his head... what level of self-delusion is going on in there.
Its quite fascinating

@newjaninev2 I could be wrong, but I see a sociopathic narcissist who's been told by the world that he's not allowed to do something, and that makes him want to do it even more.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@LordShadowfire It’s as if russia and Ukraine are standing on opposite sides of a gorge, with Russia inching forward, and Ukraine calling out ‘keep moving, keep moving'

Idk 🤷🏻♂️ they do have a lot of soldiers

True they do have a lot more solders spread out all over Russia being supported by local taxes.. But Russia only has the budget to properly equip a small percentage of their enlisted men.. And we have seen that the 100,000 to 150,000 troops sent into Ukraine who would have been given the best equipment have had problems with their equipment and lack of sufficient logistic support..
So while Russia has a lot more troops,, they do not have the resources to have them all equipped with all the gadgets of war and they certainly do not have the logistics system to support them all on the field of battle on an enemies territory..
