We really only live once, and yet…

We are all just rabbits chasing carrots above our heads, waiting for this race to finish…and it never will until we die. We spend our lives chasing the prize at the end of the rope, and only some of us win. Most of us are struggling until we’re too old to care, and we want so badly to see the world, but never get around to it because we’re so busy…hoping to finally catch that carrot.
Life isn't about where I wish I were. It's about where I am.

Working isn't about prizes. I can work for better, but a big part of it is either finding work I love or loving the work I found.

I can't erase the world around me. What I can change is me.

If I can't be happy and productive and positive where I am, when I get where I think I want to be, I won't be happy anyway.

🤣 Okay. Lovely outlook on things. However, some of us realize that the carrot is not very tasty, so we don't chase it.

The carrot is a metaphor, and it can be anything you like. It can be chocolate, strawberries, cake, steak, bread, lasagna, a vegetarian dish, anything. It doesn’t have to be the carrot, and we don’t have to be rabbits. We can be bears, fish, lions, or just us as human beings, but regardless, we are all chasing something, and then we die. Plain and simple. @4meAndyou

@PoisonLace Once again, I love your upbeat attitude...🤣. Yes...I did understand the metaphor.

Yeah, I learned that lesson. If you want to enjoy life, stop chasing. Expectation is the surest path to disappointment, so it's better to let go of what you expect out of life and learn to appreciate what you actually get.

If you stick around long enough and keep moving forward, chances are you will come across opportunities for more fulfilling ventures.

Or we are one of the rabbits from “Watership Down”

Personally, I’d rather chase the carrot.
Not everyone chases the carrot. We don't know if we only have one life.
