What inspired your username?

I'm sorry if this sounds so generic, I didn't know what to ask, but wanted to ask SOMETHING.

My username came from an attempt to be some kind of a writer whether poet, author, or lyricist. While moving I came upon it and reading what I had written after the years had passed gave me an entirely different perspective from the original concept.

In this new perspective the title of my attempted book which was also a line in a poem "On Reality of Dreams" is the topic of discussion from a question which is, What would be the reality of your dreams, and could you handle it? If one of your dreams was to become unbelievably financially wealthy could you handle everything that comes with it? Could you handle the relatives and long lost friends that suddenly show up? How about those who claim they can help you with your new form of living? They can shield you from the wolves who are lurking. They can look after your new house(s), car(s), other possession(s) so they won't fall into the hands of people who don't have your best interests at heart. You can hear them now saying "You can trust me." even though you have never seen them before.
The question and subsequent discussion is applicable to fame, a mansion, an expensive automobile, a spouse who is so beautiful he/she is a magazine model, so on and so forth. Whatever your dream is.

Most people don't really care about the things going on other people's lives, but still feel compelled to make a small symbolic gesture as if that alone can fix things. Like people who leave the first hotline number they found in a Google search to someone in extreme emotional distress that doesn't want to live anymore and is making one last cry for help. Or changing your profile picture in response to some tragedy around the world.

People just like to pretend they're helping without actually doing anything to help, so since I created this profile to get my life problems off my chest, I decided this username would best capture my experience

They're playing sad songs on their tiny violins

Mine is a song. Most people think I am calling myself fragile. I am certainly not fragile but I like this song

I’m a former science teacher. The nickname was given to me by my oldest kiddo around the time I joined EP, and I carried the name over here.
QueenOfTheNerds · 41-45, F
@aaaabbbb 8th grade science, so a little bit of everything. ☺️
@QueenOfTheNerds that's really cool. So you were touching HS science too, I mean topics. I loved science and still do lol.
QueenOfTheNerds · 41-45, F
@aaaabbbb A little bit. It was a pretty wide reaching curriculum.

My hubby and I are embedded in a lot of projects together. He once told me if anything ever happened to me the house of cards falls down.
My college papers were always late.

MougyWolf · 36-40, M
It's an alternative to Wolven Mougin , my chosen name. Wolven in association to wolves, and Mougin .. well, that came to me in a dream.

I later altered it to Mougy Wolf, which I have since taken as my name / stage name.

I think Oogie Boogie embodies a lot similar to humanity...greedy , wanting, full of nothing but bugs and chaos.

And always playing life as a game to "win".

OogieBoogie is my broken falable humanity.

Its what I need to learn to survive.
ViciDraco · 41-45, M
I had originally found experience project shortly after I had lost my leg to cancer. I was feeling broken and decided I needed a name that felt strong.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I went by Typhoid Jerry for a while (Typhoid Mary pun) and when changing accounts for stupid reasons my wife suggested Count Scrofula to keep the weird disease pun thing going. I also like it because nobody thinks my name is Jerry then, sinc eit is not.
@CountScrofula Hey, your secret is safe with us, Jerry... 🤣
